There really are no limits to what we can achieve...all we need is faith and determination.
2020 has been a lesson so far. We have all had to readjust our lifestyles but it should not prevent us from being all we can be.
I finally finished my EMBA last week. It started off as a challenge to my sons that if I, with my chemo affected brain could persevere, there was nothing that could stop them. No excuses, nothing is difficult if you persist and never give up. We just have to keep trying. Sometimes it may mean small steps, sometimes it may mean falling back and re-starting but once we have a goal we should never stop. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, you have to pick yourself up and keep going. Every great journey starts with that single step, the rocks or mountains in the way should never stop us from reaching our destination. There are no limits to what we can achieve. Like the saying goes: "Where there is a will, there is a way".
There were times when I did want to give up as professionally it doesn't make much of a difference, but then I would be providing them a bad example. And so, I persisted. While it is a great personal achievement, I am glad that it is over though. And while I said no more business programs, I am already planning ahead on what I can work on next. We are here to gather as much knowledge as we can and so we should always seek opportunities to learn and improve ourselves.
2 Nephi 2:25 says that Adam fell that man might be; and men are, that they might have joy. It is one of my favorite verses as it is a reminder that we were sent on this journey here on earth to have joy. Sometimes joy doesn't just come to us, sometimes we have to work hard to find it, but it is there even in the most difficult of times.
So here I am, looking ahead, I don't know where this journey will take me, but I will continue to be grateful and live this life to the fullest.
